The Deportivo La Coruna manager Jose Luis Oltra is of the opinion that the Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo’s performances have not been bad since he has said that he is not happy at the club. The 27-year-old Portuguese international recently said that he was not happy with the life at Real Madrid, but failed to disclose the reasons for being sad. It is said that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to sign a new contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the world. He is currently earning around € 8 million net, but is looking at around € 15 million net in order to put him above the former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o.

His instability has also transferred to the other players at the club, which has been spoken of as one of the reasons for the very bad start to the new season. Real Madrid were expected to be in touch with Barcelona at the top of the table, but they are a massive eight points behind the Catalan club. They will be facing Deportivo La Coruna, while Barcelona have already moved level on points clear of Real Madrid following their 3-2 win over Sevilla on Saturday.

“I look at his statistics, his games, and I do not see any sadness. That he did not celebrate a goal, that he is sad, I must respect that because I do not know his motives. If he had not said anything we would not have noticed from his performances. How do you stop Cristiano on the counter-attack?. If you sit very deep they cannot counter, but then you give up other things. We must try and not lose the ball often, get back quickly, cover and help each other,” said the Deportivo La Coruna manager ahead of the match with Real Madrid on Sunday.
